Matt Wifler’s “New Orleans” quartet is a group of like minded individuals that a share a love for New Orleans style jazz and swinging clarinet.
Matt is a clarinet and saxophone player with his roots in the jazz tradition of such greats as Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw and Pete Fountain. He plays with many big bands and swing groups around Chicago and has toured with The Glenn Miller Orchestra and The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra.
Keeping a busy schedule as an in demand reed player in the musical theater scene in Chicago he has played in pit orchestras at the Cadillac Palace theater, the Goodman theater, the Drury Lane theater, most recently for premier productions of “Warpaint" and "Aladdin”.
He has also appeared with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra playing along side Legendary tonight show trumpeter Doc Severinsen and with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
