Thinkin' Big is an 18-piece band based in Chicago IL, focused on reimagining big band music via race, gender, and class through a socio-political lens. Focusing on big band only as an ensemble size, they fuse genres together bringing out the many unique voices in the band. In 2016, they received Rockport Jazz Fest's "Rising Star in Jazz" Award and had the honor of opening for the JALC Orchestra. Since then, they've toured twice internationally in Canada, they've played all across the East Coast, and they've recently moved their home base to Chicago.  They can't wait to share their voice and message with you.
